Property Pilgrimage to Perth

Matt, Paul and Anita enjoyed attending the UDIA National Congress in Perth recently.

It was a great line-up of varied speakers including Mark Bouris, Mark McCrindle, Eliza Owen, Amy Auster and Justin Langer.

Some key takeaway messages were:

  • The recent resilience of the SA housing market.
  • Victorian greenfields lot sales dropping-off, but a backlog of sold allotments are awaiting housing construction.
  • Interest rates should stabilise, however, any fall in interest rates is still some time away.
  • Demand for housing, particularly affordable housing in our larger cities, will continue to be strong placing significant pressure on rental markets.

We were also excited to have Anita Allen amongst the finalists for the Women in Leadership award.  A worthy contender.
