College Goes from Strength to Strength

Nazareth Catholic College is responding to the unprecedented enrolment demand in Adelaide’s western suburbs by developing Catholic Education SA’s first purpose-built, stand-alone campus for Year 11-12 students.

The Minister for Planning and Local Government has granted approval to this “essential infrastructure”.

Located on Findon Road at Kidman Park, this new campus is just 1.6km from the existing Flinders Park and Findon campuses of Nazareth Catholic College.

The new campus will continue to build on the popular design of Nazareth’s existing Caritas Building and St Gabriel Centre, also delivered by Russell & Yelland Architects.

Traffic and parking needs were an important foundation for the design.  MFY was briefed to ensure that all the traffic and parking needs of staff, students and parents were accommodated on-site.  The ring road at the edge of the campus provides a buffer between the buildings/school activities and the existing neighbouring development.  This design approach also creates an “oasis” of outdoor learning and recreation space in the centre of the campus.

Open and ready for teaching and learning in 2023, this bold new senior campus will facilitate the continued reimagination how Nazareth Catholic College delivers its curriculum and creates community.
