How would you Respond and Adapt to the Effects of Extreme Weather?

As the world’s leaders prepare for the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, three Councils in Adelaide’s west are preparing for the reality of extreme weather events.

AdaptNow – Changing for Climate Change is a free public event to be held at the Woodville Town Hall on October 27 starting at 6pm.

A panel of experts will be quizzed by the ABC’s Rory McClaren about a hypothetical scenario that deals with a cascading series of events including a heatwave, bushfire smoke, power outages and flash flooding in the western suburbs.

This event has been organised collaboratively by the Cities of Charles Sturt, West Torrens and Port Adelaide Enfield with support from the State and Federal Governments.  URPS is also playing a key role at this event.
