As of April 2018, Melbourne’s growing URPS office will be located at 4 Brunswick Place, Fitzroy – the inner-city mecca for all things cool and progressive.
Apart from being a stone’s throw away from the Hoddle Grid, it is nestled within a creative precinct surrounded by likeminded consultancies specialising in the built environment and related industries. Architects, engineers, landscape, urban, interior and graphic designers all frequent the cafes, restaurants and pubs that famously line the historic Brunswick and Gertrude Streets just a few minutes’ walk from the office.
Our new home is in the very same building where Daryl Jackson established his first practice with Evan Walker in 1965. Together they reimagined the city beginning the development of Southbank, Melbourne’s internationally renowned sporting precinct and, importantly, the MCG lights.
URPS is fortunate to tread in the footsteps of the fathers of Melbourne’s urban renewal. It’s an amazing environment (completely refurbished with technological necessities), inspiring us to do what we do best – engaging, collaborating, facilitating and shaping great communities.
We look forward to showing our valued clients through our new office and a piece of history that has shaped Melbourne.
