New Leadership at URPS

Matthew King is the new Managing Director of URPS.

Matthew brings new ideas and enthusiasm to our ambitions for the growth of URPS.  He is a trusted and skilled member of the URPS management team, well respected by clients and URPS team members alike.

This also helps ensure the long-term sustainability of URPS in that our overall management is not reliant on any single person.

Matthew will continue to be intimately involved in project work, as are all four Directors at URPS.  He will be as accessible as ever to our clients.

URPS will continue to work across all of the planning disciplines we have in the past including:

  • Development Facilitation and Assessment
  • Strategic Policy Development
  • Community Engagement
  • Climate Change Adaptation Planning
  • Natural Resources Management
  • Social Planning
  • Governance and Organisational Development
  • Tourism Planning

Beyond providing our planning expertise to thousands of clients over the past 16 years, URPS has worked hard to establish many systems/processes that ensure we are efficient and reliable.  Our operations will continue to be upgraded and refined by all members of the URPS team to keep our service sharp.  This provides a great platform for Matthew to lead the growth of URPS well beyond our current team of almost 20 people.

After 10 years as Managing Director, Marcus Rolfe will remain a Director of URPS and a key part of our management team.  This will free up Marcus to pursue other initiatives for URPS.

Please join us in congratulating Matthew and Marcus – we are excited by this next phase for URPS.
