URPS is hosting a breakfast seminar on Thursday 11 May 2017 at the Star Room of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre – all welcome.
The Planning, Development & Infrastructure Act guides the planning and funding of infrastructure. Will the Act be the panacea for existing issues? Will standalone infrastructure provision and funding deeds still be required? Are there learnings that can assist state and local governments, as well as the private sector?
We have assembled a group of diverse and experienced speakers for this seminar including:
Steve Dunn – Lead Director, Urban Renewal, Victorian Planning Authority
Highlighting interstate experience in the delivery of the Urban Renewal Program, including strategic planning and infrastructure coordination for national employment and innovation clusters, strategic sites and urban renewal precincts.
Anita Allen – Manager, Program Reform, Department of Planning Transport and Infrastructure
Providing an update on the Infrastructure Scheme Pilot Program and Scheme Coordinator Project.
Chris Menz – Project Director, Commercial and General
Discussing experiences from the WEST Development (former AAMI Stadium Redevelopment).
Grazio Maiorano – Director, URPS
Identifying key issues associated with infrastructure planning and negotiations based on experiences with Angle Vale (for Playford Landowners Group), Roseworthy (for Light Regional Council) and Gawler East (for Town of Gawler).
The presentations will conclude with a panel discussion / question and answer session.
